In my first post, I talked generally about Manuka honey masks and how great Manuka honey is for your skin thanks to its antioxidant, antibacterial, and antibiotic properties. Today, I want to share a few of my favorite Manuka honey mask recipes. They use all-natural ingredients, all of which are good for your skin. You can use Manuka honey alone or mix it with other all-natural ingredients to give your skin a super food boost!
Pure Manuka Honey Mask
Put a tablespoon of Manuka honey on your face and gently massage it in. Leave it on for as little as 20 minutes or as long as several hours. As long as you want, really! I generally leave it for about an hour. When you’re ready to wash it off, just rinse with warm water or gently wipe off with a warm washcloth. Moisturize with your favorite moisturizer.
Manuka Honey and Coconut Oil Mask
Mix 1 part Manuka honey with 3 parts unprocessed coconut oil. Apply to face and leave on as long as you want, but for at least 20 minutes. Both Manuka honey and coconut oil have anti-bacterial and moisturizing properties that are great for your skin.
Manuka Honey and Avocado Mask
Mix a tablespoon of Manuka honey with half a cup of organic avocado and apply to your face. Leave on for about 30 minutes then rinse off with warm water or a warm washcloth.
